If Obama wants to suppress democratic turn out even more this fall..
and practically guarantee a republican take over of congress all he has to do is to allow all the Bush tax cuts to be re-authorized..

8. He would have to sign it..
.. no WAY they could pass it over his veto.. BUT if was convinced to go along with it.. say extending them for a couple years.. say until economy turns solidly around....

happens the economy can't improve that much before 2012. So if they extend them and the economy doesn't pick up they will blame HCR and the financial reform for the bad economy. If the economy does happen to pick up they will credit the Bush tax cuts. If they don't extend them the Democrats are going to be blamed for for the economy because they increased taxes. So therefore since Democrats seem to lack a spine the tax cuts on the rich will be extended.
