I stop at a local liquor store on the way to work to get some snacks to munch on. The guys behind the counter are Islamic. One guy was speaking on the phone in this native language. He apologized and told me he was talking to his mother. I said that he didn't have to apologize for talking to his mother. He said that customers come in and get mad at him if they hear them speaking in anything but English.

I told him to tell those customers to go fuck themselves. The guy smiled and stuck out his hand and introduced himself.

Being nice feels a whole lot better than being a jerk!
