FoxNews asks Cheney: "do you believe someone who opposes the war wants terrorists to win?"

<snip>

BAIER: On the debate about Iraq at home, do you believe someone who opposes the war wants terrorists to win?

CHENEY: I think they have to be responsible for the consequences of the policies recommendations they make. If, in fact, they advocate complete withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, then they are to some extent accountable for what would happen were that policy followed. Now, I think there's been not enough attention paid to the consequences that would flow if we were to adopt the policies that have been recommended by a majority of the Democrats. Nancy Pelosi and 169 Democrats last week voted for immediate withdrawal from Iraq. I think that would be a disaster. Everybody I have talked to in the region out here, everybody, thinks it would be a disaster.

3. I agree with the Vice President whole heartedly
I believe people should be held RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES of the policy recommendations they make. I recommend war crimes trials, convictions and hangings for anyone who RECOMMENDED we go to war in Iraq in the first place.

How bout the people you talked to prior to the war that told you going in would be a disaster dickhead? And they've been proven right over and over and over again.

6. What Darth Cheney refuses to admit . . .
Or perhaps (being absolutely barking mad) doesn't realize, is that IT'S ALREADY A DISASTER!

Could it get worse? Sure. Is it likely to get any better by us staying there "surging" ineffectively? Hell no!

Dick, my boy, you screwed the pooch, you broke the eggs, you dropped the plates, you fucked up unredeemably. Get real.

7. It's a disaster whether we stay or go.
It's an on going disaster right now. We didn't make it Dick. You and your halfwit leader did. We're looking for a way out that will end the carnage but there really doesn't seem to be one.

In the end we have to do what's best for America. We can't let this country go to hell over Iraq and anyway there is no predicting what will happen in Iraq when we leave. You've been wrong about everything on this war. So for once maybe we should not listen to your ranting and do what's right for our country and our troops and our futures.

13. this coming from an administration that refuses to be held accountable for anything
Let's face it, opponents of this war from the beginning knew that this administration's foreign policies were going to be disastrous. The fact is they gambled with our country's goodwill knowing that win or lose it benefited their own selfish interests. Their policy never stood a chance to succeed in anything other than destabilizing the Middle East and driving up profits for companies that are heavily invested in the politics of destruction.

When are they going to realize that they are the one's that need to be held responsible for what they have done, raping our country's treasury, bankrupting our goodwill, destroying any sense of unity we once may have had, eroding our privacy and freedoms, etc...

Many of us, knew their policy to invade was going to be a disaster before they ever put it into action, and they refused to listen then, so now that they have created the disaster they want to cast the whole situation that they created in a new light. They wish to blame the whole mess on the opposition. They want to continue to pass off what they created a failure beyond comprehension, with no exit strategy or possible positive outcome, as, well as the fault of the those who choose to open this mis administration's eyes to the reality that their failed policy created. And then Cheney has the gaul to state that their opponents have to be responsible for the consequences of their policy decisions. Yet they continue to stand behind their polices, and their disastrous appointees as if their is no reason for change, they is no failure unless it is that of some one else.

14. Isn't it odd the way Cheney and the rest of BushCo talk about accountability and
consequences, but never can apply accountability or see the consequences of their actions?
