Suburban Chicago man charged with killing brother's cat

WILL COUNTY, Ill. - An argument between two brothers ends with one being charged for killing his brother's cat.

30-year-old Sean M. Mulcahy, of Homer Glen, was charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal by Will County officials.

Will County Sheriff's officials said the two brothers were arguing at a home in Homer Glen when Mulcahy left and later sent a text to his brother containing a picture of the dead cat.

The brother considered the text a threat and contacted Will County authorities.

Upon arriving at the home, investigators found a pool of blood in the driveway.

Mulcahy told investigators he used a knife to cut the throat of the cat and buried it nearby, Will County Sheriff's officials said.
