Sunday Yakfests
I didn't see cal04's usual Saturday post so.... I'll try to measure up to her efforts.

ABC's "This Week" — Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq; Gen. Peter Chiarelli, vice chief of staff of the Army. (Amanpour is the new moderator.)

CBS' "Face the Nation" — Retired Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen, the government's point man on the Gulf oil spill; Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council.

NBC's "Meet the Press" — White House energy adviser Carol Browner; House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio; Harold Ford Jr., Democratic Leadership Council chairman; Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.

CNN's "State of the Union" — Allen; Govs. Jennifer Granholm, D-Mich., and Bob McDonnell, R-Va.

"Fox News Sunday" — Theodore Olson, attorney in lawsuit challenging California's gay marriage ban; Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind.

Fareed Zakaria GPS: What is Fareed's Take on the controversy over the proposed cultural center near Ground Zero? He wonders if we have forgotten about the founding principle of freedom of religion in America.

Then, it's on to the economy. How can the administration kick-start the economy? Who better to ask than two former U.S. Treasury Secretaries who just happen to also be former titans of industry. Fareed sits down exclusively with Robert Rubin and Paul O'Neill. Rubin, of course, worked in the Clinton administration and ran Goldman Sachs before that. O'Neill was George W. Bush's man at Treasury and ran Alcoa and the RAND corporation in his earlier career.

After that Fareed has a one-on-one interview with the man some people call "the father of the Taliban." Former Pakistani spy chief Hamid Gul answers allegations from the WikiLeaks documents that he conspired with terrorists to kill Allied soldiers and "set Kabul aflame".

Then, the Foreign Minister of Serbia on whether war in the Balkans is possible again.

And finally a look at how Iran has America pinned to the mat.

Tune in this Sunday at 10a.m. ET/PT.

1. One of the best things about living on the left side of the continent
is that the gasbag shows are all on fairly early in the morning here. Since I'm a night owl and late riser, there is never an occasion for me to see any of them, even by accident.

Tomorrow will be an especially nice day to miss them all.

2. I'll watch GPS
Zakaria is a true journalist and, as he showed last week, a man of integrity. As for the rest - meh.

4. Kick--Sorry for posting essentially the same thing--I saw neither cal04's usual
weekly post or yours.

I searched the first 7 pages of GD for "cal04"--guess I should have searched for "Sunday".

Wonder where cal04 is? She's so faithful about posting the schedule. Hope all is well with her.
