Get slim on the office treadmill
As someone with a desk job, type II diabetes and a life-long weight problem, I'd buy one in a *ahem* heartbeat. I wonder if they make a Playstation II model for home use?

Get slim on the office treadmill

Obesity experts have developed a vertical workstation which helps employees take exercise and shed weight as they work.

The designers, the Mayo Clinic in New York, said it could help obese people to lose up to 30kg a year.

Fifteen obese volunteers burned an average of 191 calories an hour using the treadmill, compared to 72 calories just sitting at their desk.

The study features in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

3. I always thought it would be ingenius ...
to have an ultra green health center.

Where all of the exercise machines generate power to the building.

Cheers

7. I am a big fan of this
not only for the slimming issue, but just to get the blood flowing. In my company, we have found we have that many of our solution ideas come to us during a workout. Why not have brainstorming sessions while on a treadmill or recumbent bike?

We are forming a new company next month. If it grows big enough, that is one thing I want as a company policy...

10. This is a wonderful idea
If you have a desk job, like I do, you sit for too many hours during the day. The human body was designed and built for activity.

I sincerely wish it didn't come with a $1000 pricetag though. Sheesh.
