You should read this joke society's desperate stretch of an "argument" to turn 47-45 Park Place (the site of the Cordoba House, erroneously known as the "Ground Zero Mosque") into a Landmark site, despite the Landmarks Preservation Commission's denial of landmark status today. ACLJ hysterically pleads that this ruling is profoundly offensive to one single firefighter on whom they've staked the authority of their claim that "numerous" survivors and family members find the decision offensive. They continue to erroneously insist that this building is at Ground Zero, which they assert is "sacred" ground. They claim that this particular building (excuse me while I restrain myself from throwing up) "reflects the growth and rise of American free enterprise and stands as a symbol of America's strength and endurance in the face of brutal, sadistic terrorism." (As opposed to just brutal or just sadistic terrorism. presumably?) It's funny that this one building coincidentally has this double-edged significance--and thank the ACLJ for suddenly discovering it after all these years!
