This is part of a LTTE in today's newspaper. One wonders if the letter was written by someone who was taught history in our public schools:

"...Our forefathers who landed on Plymouth Rock came to this country to also share in the freedom of working hard, respecting each other and showing their love for God. It was written in our Constitution, Pledge of Allegiance and many more important papers that our country followed. ..."

and the pledge was written by a commie and the under god was added in the 1950s...

You are right... but I don't blame the schools. Go on to the bookstore. In the history section they got some really nice fiction books written by the right... oh you will be regaled by all them truths that were kept out of them history books by lib'rul educators.

This is a Christian country is part of it. Though credit to where credit is due... this line comes from the First Revival... which runs parallel to the Enlightenment... oy... what can I say?
