fox news makes a mockery of the first amendment
how does democracy survive when media sources are free to lie and present false information as news?

this country is in serious trouble and it's not financial.

1. FOX news is a major reason the GOP has been as successful as they have been
with out their 24X7 GOP propaganda channel the party would have long since gone the way of the Whig party.

2. They and the rest of the press are needed to prop up the Republican Party
Without the national corporate media backing them, the GOP would have been obsolete a long time ago.

Even when beaten silly in the last national elections and relegated to minority status, the GOP is given front and center news coverage on a daily basis for free.

4. We need to mount an effective boycott or ...
We've tried the information campaign and that hasn't worked. People ask that it not be used as the background news channel in hotels and restaurants.

I guess it's like the repupuklian party itself, no matter how stupid and obviously wrong it appears, some will still back it.

6. It drives me crazy that it's on everywhere
It was on in the tire shop waiting room the other day. They claimed that Fox was the ONLY channel they had, but turned it off for me. If enough of us complain loud enough and long enough...

5. Wasn't there a court case that said that the first ammendment does not require truth?
