Oh shit! Oh fuck! Damn! My driver's license says "ORGAN
DONOR." I won't be able to leave the house for fear I would get in an accident and Cheney would get my heart! Can I put a sticky note on it?

Can I put a sticky note on it?

8. I thought about that and figured people would understand I
meant the license. It would be really dangerous and messy to put a sticky note on my heart.

2. Just try not to run into anything out there
and realize if you're driving, the chest contusion will make you unsuitable as a heart donor.

13. Lots of accidents happen in the home
On a less snarktastic note:

I absolutely and totally disagree with everything Cheney stands for politically.

However, I wish no harm on him, nor pain to his loved ones.

Which is why I think this thread is a really bad idea.

22. My problem is,
if Cheney were to need a heart, someone already on the list would be forced (without their knowledge) to give up their place in line for him. Or he would arrange to purchase one from a less than ethical source.

I can't think of anyone (with a current heart condition) less deserving of "special" treatment, however, I wish him and his loved ones no ill will with regard to his health.

25. The problem in the OP was whether or not his heart would go to a 'deserving' source
Even though his post was probably meant in jest, the notion that you shouldn't do what you can to save another life because the life saved might not be one you like is appalling.

27. Yeah, I understood that.
I was just commenting on what I'm sure are the realities for a greedy, wealthy, very privileged heart patient and the rest of us.

23. Wait just a minute. You think it is a "really bad idea" that I don't
want to give my heart to Dick Cheney rather than some human being?

24. My donor card doesn't say I'll get to decide who gets the organs
What do I care?

I'll be dead.

In a perfect world my heart would go to someone who shares my values.

But that wouldn't be very efficient.

They'd have to wait for someone who avoids internal combustion engines to need a heart and in general, people that walk or bike everywhere have decent cardiovascular health.

Yes, Cheney is a human being.

He's a human being with politics that I despise but he's still human.

I'm well aware that based on voter registration figures, the odds are that my organs will end up with some someone who doesn't vote the same way I do.

But I signed up anyway, because, well, I'm a human being who believes in humanity.

Seriously.

28. As far as I'm concerned he forfeited his humanity when he caused as many tortures and murders as he
did. So I don't particularly care if he dies a horrible death.

This isn't about not wanting to save the life of someone you disagree with politically. It's about not wanting to save the life of a person that spent their entire life stealing the humanity of others. Of course since the odds are astronomically low and the OP was joking, it's pretty much pointless to worry about it.

14. A couple of bucks and a quick trip to the local CVS can fix that...
Buy a black magic marker and write instructions on your chest. Renew as the writing wears off.

In fact, you could diagram all your organs and leave the good ones to family and friends who might want/need them

The talking heads on msnbc said he wouldn't be kicked to the top of the list but you know that is pure-D baloney. I want to know how we can protest our tax money being wasted on this criminal.

one with only Cheney's name and one with everyone else in need on it. Cheney will not be going to the top of the second list, lol.

26. Not to worry.
Cheney won't be able to survive with a mere human heart, and Cheney's blood type is (I'm sure) America-negative. If, however, you are a spawn of Satan, your heart would be the perfect match.

No matter what we think of the man he's still a person with a family and grand kids. Wishing death on anyone is beyond tacky and stoops to the lowest levels.
