HOST'S CHOICES

The finalists, every single one are photos for which I could make a strong case for first place.
I think they are the strongest lineup of tough choices I have seen in a long time, if ever.

My personal choice, of the thirty was the second place winner.
That wonderful bird in the rippling sand with the reflection of an unworldly and incomprehensible color.
I congratulate California Peggy on her second place win,
for many the second place winner being the true winner because it's nothing but honor and no responsibilities for the next contest
:)

I want to also call out Alfredo for his submission of

Chewing Cheddar Cheese

Not only do we have the alliteration in the photo, but in the title, and I think the photo is very funny to look at it makes me laugh every time I see it,
it's a great catch, and I think it took a little courage by Alfredo to use it as an entry.
It brought me joy.

This has been a lot of fun, I appreciate the participation of the voters and every single one of the entries, and I congratulate the winners heartily.

Take it away for July, Saphire.....

8. Several things I want to mention
Foremost is that this was a wonderful contest theme. Alliteration - very creative.
Second is how creatively the photographers found subjects to fit that theme. Just outstanding.
Third is that I am in agreement with Mira - the 2nd place photo was my favorite. So sublime, peaceful, and beautiful.
But Mission Arches is good too!

16. Congrats Saphire
You had a great photo there and some very tough competition. :toast::toast::toast::toast:Congrats to all the finalist, hard group to vote in. Was happy to see others were as taken with the colors Ms Peggy captured in her photo. Congrats to all because to me everyone is a winner though couldn't you make voting a tad bit easier. I was forced to throw darts.Do you how hard that is on a monitor? :toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast:

Great job hosting Mira. I think we should do a poll about making you permanent host. Not only did you make it look easy to host the contest you entertained us with your musings on difficulties and so called mistakes. (So how did the numbers come out in the end over the normal contest placement?) :yourock:

17. It was a comedy
with some errors.
I had my
:dunce:
moments.
Thank you so much CC for acknowledging the job anyway.

I think we ended up with about 20 or 30 votes more than "normal" as a result of the extra kicks.
If the past is prologue, I won't win again for another year, so until then the contests will all proceed swimmingly.

:)

18. No it won't, it rarely ever goes without a hitch.
It just looks like all went well from this side. I have a feeling the stress caused by worrying about messing up causes more hair pulling, sleepless night and disruptions at home than we will ever know. Even you made it look so smooth. Not sure anyone would of noticed your goof it they just used you link to get to the voting page.

Now to find somewhere away from the TV because the GOBP is already loading the BS on Kagan.
