Rudy's gonna shoot up in the polls and make the religious right irrelevant in both parties. BWAAA
Mixed feelings on that, it would make him harder to beat in 08. Still I like watching the Schiavo 15% made irrelevant.

The Rs depend on the religious right. Their base consists of haves, have-mores and religious lunatics who vote against their own interests.

Humble opinion is that Giuliani peaked way too soon and is going to continue to fall into the middle of the pack, leaving an opening for a latecomer like Fred Thompson (somewhat likely) or Newt (less likely.) Can't imagine what Rudy could do to shoot up at this point--that was a bad sentence--but really, how many ex-mayors become President? He's never been elected to a state office or a national office.
