Kid with oil stuck on her (Destin, FL): video
Edited on Fri Jun-25-10 09:29 AM by MountainLaurel
I'm gobsmacked: I'm worried about my DOGS breathing in the oil fumes, and we're 40 miles away from the Gulf, and these morans are letting their CHILDREN play in that shit?

6. Yep. The sand that's covered in more oil.

I love how the mother tried to play the innocent, "oh, this is the oil?" bit to the cameraman after having told her daughter she couldn't get the "oil" off of her.

3. Amazing isn't it?
I wonder if these people would dump used motor oil over their children's heads, which is probably less hazardous to their health than what they're swimming in now.

9. Cover yourself in petroleum naphtha to remove the oil from your skin...
...sounds like a foolproof plan to me.

10. We used to call petroleum naphtha "spirits" at the factory I worked at
Some of the guys used to damn near bathe in that stuff before we weren't allowed to use it any more. Of course all those guys are dead now.

11. I seem to recall
Edited on Fri Jun-25-10 10:14 AM by AsahinaKimi
Some one saying that the oil had been broken up due to dispersant, which everyone knows is toxic. Gotta think that stuff is probably mixed in with the oil on the beach. I certainly would not be there with kids, knowing that.

13. Yes, but you would be sane.
And not a believer that there's a product available for purchase that can fix everything.
