6. I am far from a Clinton fan.
His stupidity caused Al Gore to fight an up hill battle in 2000.

3. Export the SOBs who voted for tax breaks for corporations who
move their factories to places where they use slave labor and child labor.

4. That even liberal Americans get angry about non-Americans being employed depresses me.

Choosing to employ people in countries other than the USA is not "exporting American jobs", any more than choosing to employ Americans is "importing European/Asia/Africa/South American etc jobs".

"America first" is not a slogan you can expect the rest of us to have very much sympathy for, I'm afraid.

to keep Hitler off your ass?

Don't expect any more Lend Lease if you ever need it, because we have shipped our factories abroad now and we are almost as dependant as you once was.

10. Oh. YES IT IS EXPORTING AMERICAN JOBS.
When an American factory is shuttered so a boss can get rich manufacturing in China, that damn well is exporting our jobs.

Which country do you prefer to put first, dear? Myself, it's libertarians I have no use for. And people who pretend it's nothing to them which nation triumphs or grows prosperous.

I'm an American. I'm happy to see everybody eat once I know Americans are fed. But not before.

14. The poorer one.
One-sided trade relations - things like the EU's agricultural policy, or the US's tarriffs (if my memory serves me) on steel - are one of the factors contributing to third world poverty.

It's a basic left wing (not "libertarian") principle that things that help the rich get richer at the expense of the poor are bad, and that's just as true when "rich" and "poor" are "poor" and "very poor".

If we are talking about what you are and aren't happy with, obviously only you can have anything to say. But if we're talking about what is and isn't ethical then which country either of us comes from is entirely irrelevant.

18. Exportation of jobs to countries
with no minimum employee standards, no property rights, barely livable conditions, corrupt governments, no infrastructure and no obligation to enact any of these things is a net loss for labor. The workers in Mexican auto plants can't afford the products they are making...that isn't a good trade off for anyone.

27. Good thing there aren't any of those here, then.
Although a direct consequence of the policy of attempting to concentrate wealth in the first world and avoid it transfering to the third, as you advocate doing, is to increase the number of people working in slave-like conditions.

15. And why do they CHOOSE them? Because they can more easily oppress the workers in other countries.
Save your free market garbage. When has an American company EVER left the US to open up shop in Sweden or France. I don't care any less about Chinese workers than I do American workers. Your false dilemma is duly noted.

29. I'm with you all the way on that.
bad thing is, there is no way to boycott them, shame them , or in short do anything that could hurt their bottom line.

What we need to do, is get rid of those that claim to represent us that allow these things to happen. Outsource the outsourcers helper so to speak. :fistbump:
