Singer, sausage businessman Jimmy Dean dies at 81
Source: Houston Chronicle

RICHMOND, Va. — Jimmy Dean, a country music legend for his smash hit about a workingman hero, "Big Bad John," and an entrepreneur known for his sausage brand, died on Sunday. He was 81.

His wife, Donna Meade Dean, said her husband died at their Henrico County, Va., home.

She told The Associated Press that he had some health problems but was still functioning well, so his death came as a shock. She said he was eating in front of the television. She left the room for a time and came back and he was unresponsive. She said he was pronounced dead at 7:54 p.m.

9. Wow, I'm too young to remember that.

First I remember the Muppets was Sesame Street.

I do remember the Jimmy Dean Show, though, but in later years.

11. I did, too.
Jimmy Dean always seemed like such a good-hearted soul. I don't know if he actually WAS, but he certainly gave off that aura.

17. My fat? My fat what?
Only one part, rather two parts of me, that could be considered plump. Aside from the girls, I have trouble keeping weight on rather than off.

20. No. I don't. It was a joke.

There's no such thing as the chocolate-covered sausage biscuits on a stick.

I have made chocolate chip pancakes in the past, but I make them from scratch and add oatmeal. And I never rolled them around a sausage.

I eat long-term low-calorie diet as a rule.

3. He had a folksy and very entertaining TV show
I used to watch it as a kid, in those old days when families used to gather in the living room to watch the only TV in the house.
