Taxpayer dollars defending Prop. 8?
Edited on Fri Jun-11-10 06:29 PM by and-justice-for-all

Do you think taxpayer dollars should be used to defend Prop. 8 in court?

Republican Candidate for Attorney General Steve Cooley does. In a recent interview, Cooley said that the attorney general “should defend .”

And Meg Whitman, who supported Prop. 8, defends her vote as a “matter of personal conscience." How far will she go to defend her position?

In stark contrast, our current Attorney General and Gubernatorial Candidate, Jerry Brown, has gone to court to ask that Prop. 8 be overturned and has refused to defend this discriminatory measure.

Democratic Attorney General Candidate Kamala Harris has pledged to do the same.

Equality California activated our 600,000 members to support pro-equality candidates in the primary. And we won!
