Edwards, Obama Lead Giuliani in Iowa
Angus Reid Global Monitor : Polls & Research

Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Democrat John Edwards could carry Iowa in the 2008 United States presidential election, according to a poll by SurveyUSA released by KAAL-TV. 54 per cent of respondents in the Hawkeye State would vote for the former North Carolina senator, while 40 per cent would support former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

In other contests, Giuliani trails Illinois senator Barack Obama by five points, and leads New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton by three points.

In 2004, Republican George W. Bush carried Iowa’s seven electoral votes, with 50 per cent of all cast ballots. No GOP nominee had carried the Hawkeye State since Ronald Reagan in 1984.

Bush is ineligible for a third term in office. The next United States presidential election is scheduled for November 2008.

3. Clinton does better than rivals in CA against Guliani

My point is that, either you believe in polls and Edwards would have to battle not only in IA, but also in MA and CA, or you do not believe in polls at all, particularly polls for a vote more than 18 months ago.

I personnally chose to ignore them, but if you do not, show the full picture.

4. Much will change before the Iowa caucus
Giuliani is sinking, and there is not much love for McCain. Newt and Fred Thompson could do quite well, if either chooses to run. Would not be surprised if both of them passed McCain.
