California: Always ahead of the curve
Democrats don't believe a word about the GOP taking control (recent tilted Gallup polls etc.)

GOP Registration Slips In California Voter Rolls

New registration figures show the number of Republican voters in California continues to slip.

The secretary of state released final numbers Friday ahead of Tuesday's primary election.

They show Republican registration dropped from 34.4 percent four years ago to 30.8 percent now.

In the same time, Democratic registration increased from 42.7 percent to 44.5 percent. Voters who decline to state a party affiliation climbed from 18.5 percent to 20.2 percent.

Gail Pellerin, vice president of the California Association of Clerks and Election Officials, says she expects statewide turnout to be in the mid-30s on Tuesday, maybe as high as 40 percent.

Fewer than 34 percent of registered voters cast ballots in the last gubernatorial primary four years ago.

Where goes CA? So goes the world. Be of good cheer and keep up the good work. The Military/Industrail fascist state will soon die.

1. We're being bombarded with Whitman, Poizner, and Fiorina asshatery right now...
They are insulting each other by name calling... their favorite barb is calling each other "liberal" and making it sound like "child molester."

They are trashing each other... far right looniness... wasting all that money too:)

Good to see the GOP is failing in registrations too! K&R!

6. aren't the ads just classic
Whitman is calling out Poizner so much on liberal positions that he may get a lot of people voting for him.

3. just to point out a recent observation
over the long weekend at the local fair the dems had a booth set up for registration. So didn't he Republicans, teaparty, libertarians, Jon Birch Society(!) ans Mormons. The Bush/Arnold years have forced Republicans to re-brand itself as "new" exciting movements. Basically here in California the conservatives need many different forms to try to get people into the conservative movement. Doesn't really matter our prop system makes it so that the Dems need an unlikely super majority to "fix" the state. So I see more Pain in our future.
