The apology ad from BP's Tony Hayward is sooo deceiving in it's presentation!

My son pointed out to me the fact that now that Tony Hayward ("I want my life back") from BP, has gotten around to apologizing for his company, he shows none of the scenes of oil-covered, dying birds and oily wetlands, but rather busy workers on pristine beaches....having returned everything back to normal!
What a fraud that man is!
I have yet to hear any of the talking heads commentators mention this obvious fact and yet they are constantly harping on about Obama not showing enough emotion!

2. Tony Hayward makes J.R. Ewing look like Santa Claus.
I shit you not. He is my new Public Enemy #1. He is the face of everything that is wrong in big business. At least the company tried to be green before he came on board and made it the polluting, ecosystem killing machine it is today. Hayward's ego is beyond atrocious. He is the most egotistical bastard I have seen in a long time. I can't stand him.

4. Y'know, occasionally over the years my husband says he'll "Take Responsibility" for doing the dishes
Edited on Fri Jun-04-10 12:57 PM by librechik
At first I am happy and grateful for the help.

Soon I discover, however, it is always on HIS time schedule and inclination. Sometimes several days pass and I lose patience with the growing pile in the sink and angrily have to do it myself. Then he sulks that I really didn't give him a chance to do it on his own, he's really excellent at it when people aren't nagging at him and hurting his self esteem.

I just shake my head and laugh. The dishes have to be done one way or the other. But I have learned not to take these people seriously. Though they mean well, in actual terms it just isn't in their nature. Poor little rich kids were never forced to work until they stopped hating it, like the rest of us. Responsibility is an alien concept to them. Everything has to be explained in baby talk to them.
But that just blows their mind, making them useless.

I bet he wants his life back. It's a lot of work being Tony nowadays.
