Blue is medical and scientific officers, Red is Security and Engineers. Not sure why Communications is red, that is a bit of a problem actually, maybe it is a flaw from that show, they also changed command uniforms to mostly red in the 80s also, so that was a flaw also.


And Gold is Command, (although not money Gold, that would be mirror world.)

Red Blue
Soldier Servant
Individual Society
Male Female (although not about gender)
Hot Cold
Fire Water


There is a few more, and they of coarse do not apply to everything but are some interesting concepts in many stories.



And they don't fit that way in all cultures, some cultures have blue as bad, and some have red as bad. But they are just concepts in some stories. And it might not even be talking about bad and good, that could be a perspective.
