Can you say 'Chaos'! But conservatives seem incapable of thinking of the consequences of their actions.
Like little, whining children they just want their way now, unable to use reason or thought. If not for government agencies like the FDA tens of thousands of Americans would be injured or killed daily because no product bought would be made safely. We went to war because less than 3,000 people were killed and conservatives cheered on every bomb dropped and every Iraqi killed because they wanted to get even with the people who killed 3,000.
But why do conservatives believe it is okay for corporations to cause infinitely more carnage than any terrorist could do? I value the lives of each one of those who died on 9/11, but I also value the lives of all other human beings who have a right to live in a secure world and a safe country where inept, incompetent or corrupt corporations aren't exploiting or harming people by using inferior products to save a buck. But conservatives seem to believe corporations are almost 'holy' and would never do anything to harm a human being. Corporations only care about their bottom lines, and without government intervention our country would be absolute chaos. Non-braking Toyotas would be the norm instead of the exception.
And to those conservatives who constantly attack government because they 'say' government can't do anything right, then how do you like BP and its cluelessness in handling the disaster they caused? It was obvious from day one BP had no idea how to stop leaks or gushers 5,000 feet below the surface of the ocean. So why were they drilling there? They were motivated 100% by greed, one of the seven deadly sins.
And if you look at the list of the Seven Deadly Sins I believe you can attribute most, if not all of them, to BP's executives. It seems like they are prerequisites to become members of the inner circles of corporate leadership.
SEVEN DEADLY SINS PRIDE is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

GLUTTONY is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
LUST is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
ANGER is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.
GREED is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.
