BP = Bought and Paid for our Governments NON-response
Edited on Thu May-20-10 07:44 AM by boston bean
Obama is MIA in this disaster. I don't give a shit how much he wags his finger at BP.

If BP is so fucking bad why are they still in charge? Ask yourself that question.

It is as clear as day that BP cannot be trusted to do the right thing.

It is also clear our government cannot be trusted, how fucking sad is that. The government wants to be able to lay this entirely at the feet of BP, but in doing so they are letting the Gulf of Mexico turn into a tar pit. That is despicable.

Our government helps them keep video of the flow hidden. BP says they can't be bothered with how much, they are concerned with stopping it. Well la teee fuckin da! You can't know how to contain it unless you know how much is gushing out, assholes! I don't have any mathmatical degree and even I fucking know that. So ask yourself why this information which could be easily calculated is being hidden from us, with the wink wink of our fucking Government.

I just watched a video where our coast guard bowed at the knees of BP. For fucksake how is that ever the case?

Does our Coast Guard know how to lay boom? Hell yes, they do. So why aren't they in charge of laying the boom, the correct way. Watch here is you have any doubt about what a clusterfuck this has become. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_enCDXmVj0 . Found that video right here on DU.

But you know who deserves contempt even more than BP and our Government. It's you fuckers who makes excuses as to why the government shouldn't be in charge. It's the fuckers who give cover to the kabuki dance our government continues to make a dance a jig too. It's the fuckers looking for political cover and angles by allowing BP to be in charge so the Admins hands can stay clean. They are traitors to our environment. Those fucking people make me sick.

1. I think nobody knows how to fix this
including the government. That's why the gov is staying out of it. There's simply nothing that they have the knowhow or equipment to do.

2. Some where in between
Mr. "No Drama" has a very real political concern about "owning" this problem. It's easier and safer to "beat up" on BP. At some point, and some like the OP will say we've already passed it, the government may have to take charge.

They may feel they don't have the expertise, but BP is rapidly demonstrating that they may not either. What is plainly obvious is that NO ONE was ready.

3. They certainly help create it, for many years. and nothing but the status quo
and more drilling "exploration" from Obama.

They, both the Gov't and BP, certainly felt they had the expertise.

BP does not have the interest of America at heart. They have BP's interest at heart.

Our government is "suppose" to have our interst at heart.
