Bush: Get up off your couch and walk, jog, pedal and swim!!!11
So, with the carnage in Kansas overnight, with all that's going on in the world, THIS is what he chose to reprove America with this morning?

====

BELTSVILLE, Md. – Just before climbing on his mountain bike Saturday, President Bush urged people to get up off their couches and walk, jog, pedal and swim.

“It doesn't take much time to stay fit – 30 minutes, five days a week,” Bush said at a Secret Service training facility just outside Washington where he went for a bike ride.

May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and June will mark the fifth anniversary of the HealthierUS Initiative. The president launched the initiative in 2002 to encourage people to do physical activity every day, eat nutritious food, get preventive screenings for disease and make healthy lifestyle choices.

“I love exercise,” said the president, who was wearing biking shorts and lifted up his blue-and-white mountain bike to prove he was strong and fit.

“I have found that exercise not only is a good excuse to get outdoors. It helps to relieve stress as well.”

3. Saves time in boot camp, I guess.
The fitter they are, the sooner he can ship them off.

4. Gotta get those priorities right, after all.
Jesus.

And since he brought it up:

1) That bulge around his middle...doesn't look like he's practicing what he preaches. Memo to George: may want to lay off the beer if you're so damned interested in physical fitness.

2) What the fuck does lifting a bicycle with one hand have to do whether you're fit or not? It's a freaking BICYCLE. It weighs all of 5 pounds, if that. :eyes:

Now that would cause some serious injury.
It would for me. Trying to dead lift that old cow would definitely be hernia time for me.

7. Easy for him to say, he doesn't have to word for a living.
The rest of us are so busy trying to survive in the economic cagefight his croneys helped create we barely have time to sleep. Georgie, on the other hand, doesn't need to bother with any of that, so he can ride bikes, play computer games and dress up in uniforms all day long.

10. How much does that bicycle cost?
How many people have access to a nearby safe bicycle path?

How many people have 30 minutes a day left over after working, picking up the kids, cooking dinner, running the laundry, paying the bills......

13. Back in 2000, Bush was questioned about his gravitas.
Yeah, well, guess what. He doesn't get it. He just doesn't understand the weight of disasters he has created.

I am so weary of this smartass.
