I figured out why O'Reilly defended Obama's response to the oil spill
The reason is because Obama and his administration have not been tough on BP and the oil industry. For example, Obama has not advocated raising the limit amount they are responsible for. The instant Obama starts asking them to pay more, O'Reilly will start attacking him

1. That's not true
The White House backs the Dems' proposal to raise BP's liability cap from 75 million to 10 billion, make it retroactive, and cancel the cap completely if BP is found to have violated safety regulations.
