"WE should not give THEM the rights of citizenship..."
"WE should not give THEM the rights of citizenship..." (Said by Joe Lieberman, in saying that American citizens accused of associating with terrorists should not be considered citizens.)

Who is "we"?

Seriously... who the fuck is "we"?

As Katt Williams would say, "...I'll wait."

1. I suggest stripping Joe Lieberman of his citizenship
That motherfucker has suggested the most un-American law in American history.

2. Sucks when wimps try to prove how tough they are
He can propose all the draconian laws he wants to.

But he's still what he is.

3. wow, i know no one likes the references to nazi germany, but i am sorry....
this fits. they start by stripping people accused, not even proven in a court, of ties with terrorists of their rights. where would that one end!!

4. Um, anyone who is a US citizen has the rights of citizenship automatically.
It is not a matter of "us" deciding whether or not to "give" them. They are already there. They exist. We ignore them at out peril.

5. I am opposed to stripping anyone of their citizenchip.
Send them to prions to atone for their crimes. I think that would be just. Stripping them of citizenchip is just wrong.

6. Prions?
Dormant proteins in the human brain that, when activated, can cause things like mad cow?

(I'm messing with you.)

7. And "GIVE"?!?
Rights aren't a fucking lollipop handed out to those we like, and withheld from those we don't.

They are inherent in the concept of being a human. You don't deprive them without a hella lot of scrutiny and due process.

8. Anybody who thinks we "GIVE" rights
doesn't deserve to be holding a job serving the public. Did Lieberman flunk civics, as well as the humanities?

9. I wonder if he'd feel this way - or be saying it out loud - if Irish Northern Aid
were still active.

I know a lot of people who gave them money.

12. Well, the Executive has already decided to ignore the Constitution with impunity,
why not the Senate too? Still, the mind-numbingness of a United State Senator proposing to legislate the Constitution away...wow.
