1. With Anna Nichole gone and the baby landed in Tennessee or Kentucky or where ever
The media needs something to keep themselves occupied so they don't dwell on war.

Pay no attention to The Commander Guy and his war games.

:sarcasm:

2. Slow news day, huh? I guess there wasn't a WAR anywhere, or anything.

4. It gets the ratings, certainly more so than the environment or health care or something else

Maybe you want a news media that isn't profit driven?

5. Well what else is there to talk about
Jobs were created at such a high rate in April that unemployment may be wiped out in our lifetime

Iraq continues to progress swimmingly. Just look at that new girls school that is ready to open.

No one has died in Iraq in...I don't know how long.

The quality of human and pet food being imported into the United States is of the highest quality --due to the continual diligence of this administration.

The rich continue to get richer, but the poor are getting richer too. Why, in our lifetime, poverty and homelessness could be a thing of the past.

There is no crime going on in this country -- no doubt due in large part to the administrations efforts to eliminate unemployment and poverty.

The people who lost everything in NOLA are preparing to move into their new homes in the next week.

Everyone has access to high quality medical care and high quality health insurance.

I mean...what else is there to talk about?

on a serious note:
It just shows how pathetic the news media is.
On CNN-International, the big story (devoting an hour to it) is Don Imus' lawsuit against CBS.

8. It wasn't the top story on Olbermann.
It was jumbled in there with the rest of his celebrity news. Altthough he did poke fun at it as "breaking news."
