I kid you not. Call Cheney Bobby!!! This should be good.
Southern Gulf AGs will be meeting tomorrow to decide whether to sue BP - should be interesting.

7. Yesterday he was complaining the gov't was keeping him out of the
loop, then I saw Bill Nelson (FL) giving an update on the tube. Maybe Jindal wasn't asking the right people.

Anyway, good, let him go after Halliburton. Someone should.

9. Good but what about Senator Mary Landrieu?
Sorry but I must be candid. I'm not a dyed in wool Party hack like some. I've watched her for years but my belief is she works for her side not my side as an average American Democrat, and on most of the important issues. She likes corporations, Wall Street and she likes power and enjoys her status from LA. BUT - she doesn't work for average Americans and never has. If there was an "Average American" political Party I'd be there.

16. You won't get a huge amount of disagreement around DU on Sen Landrieu, especially on environmental
issues.

10. Bobby's record isn't exactly spotless:
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Jindal>

"In 2006, Jindal sponsored the Deep Ocean Energy Resources Act (H.R. 4761), a bill to eliminate the moratorium on offshore oil and gas drilling over the U.S. outer continental shelf. A poll taken while the bill was being debated, showed that 73% of the U.S. public supported the measure. Jindal argues that 30-40% of oil reserves of the United States are near the Louisiana coast and increased drilling would reduce American dependence on foreign oil.<108> This prompted the watchdog groups, Republicans for Environmental Protection as well as the nonpartisan League of Conservation Voters to rate him among the lowest in Congress in 2006.<109><110><111> H.R. 4761 was replaced by S 3711 (known as the Domenici-Landrieu Fair Share Plan) which was passed by both houses of Congress and signed by President George W. Bush "

Among other things, Jindal unsuccessfully pushed a bill while in Congress that would eliminate oil companies from the need to remove offshore rigs after the wells stopped producing. He wanted to turn them into "fish farms" and "artificial reefs". Environmentalists took exception. He's an oil shill of the same ilk as Landrieu and Vitter

11. Since Cheney's been known to tell people to "F--- off,"
Edited on Sat May-01-10 06:38 PM by political_Dem
who wouldn't pay to see him say that to Bobby? After all, now Bobby is trying to bite the hand that feeds him by calling for a law suit.

13. Well he is getting it right. Maybe because he wants the money
from Halliburton and BP to pay for the damage AND this time I don't blame him one bit.
