Native American groups lash out at Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag for being 'ignorant' of their culture

The indestructible force known as Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have created yet another controversy with their latest stunt.

Several Native American groups are lashing out at the fame-loving couple after they announced they were changing their names in an effort to become "more in-tune with our spirituality."

Taking on "true native-American names" that their "creator" gave them, Pratt and Montag dubbed themselves White Wolf and Running Bear, respectively.

The reality stars have since been called "ignorant" by their self-appointed culture, TMZ.com reports.

A rep from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota responded to the couple's new stunt, saying, "Continued stereotyping such as this by people ignorant of our traditional ways is very disrespectful and only hurts our efforts to curtail these stereotypes."
