Leno to headline WH Correspondents Dinner
Edited on Fri Apr-30-10 05:09 PM by GreatCaesarsGhost
Ugh. He was on tweety promoting it earlier.

He is no match for Stephen Colbert or even Pickles describing w "milking"

a horse. Then again, he can't be worse than Rich Little.

edit to add: It's Saturday night on c-span.

15. Exactly.. especially since it;s morphed into the freakish child of the Oscars & a Senior Prom
The annual faux-roast of the president is in bad taste when things are so desperate for so many.

If the press wants to get together and schmooze, let them, but the whole "who-are-you-wearing?" thing is waaay too icky for me..and the screaming "fans" as people arrive...c'mon....

A fun-night might have served a purpose in the past, but there's much more fun every night on The Daily Show or The Colbert Report..

But there have been some good laughs.. like the floating, footless mermaid-wife of Uncle Fred

3. Bush - Colbert / Obama - Leno. Do I detect a pattern here?
I guess you have to invite those that poke fun at you to show that you have a sense of humor.(?)

6. Kevin Eubanks isn't willing to be PAID to laugh at Leno's jokes anymore
That tells you everything you need to know.

16. What did I miss? He quit?
If so, I'm glad.

I think I may have watched his monologue 3 times since Carson left. The entire show? fuhget about it.

14. i never found conan funny. i understand others do, but he is not ny idea of funny.
but leno isn't either,so.... i tend to believe colbert was a happy accident. either they thought he was one of them, or they didn't think he had the balls to diss them to their faces..... either way.... it was hilarious!! don't know who would be good to head it. i am sure they are interested in playing it safe.
