Bush’s point man for escalation plan resigns
J.D. Crouch, the deputy national security adviser whose office “was the nerve center for the Bush administration’s top-to-bottom review of war strategy that culminated with the president’s decision in January to send more troops to Iraq,” announced his resignation today, saying “it was time, for both him and his family, to leave the government for the private sector or academia.”

8. "to leave the government for the private sector or academia"
Looks like someone just desperately wanted out asap, with no other specific plans. What happened to spending more time with the family?

9. Fridays Seem Like A Black One At 1600

Look at all the fun resignations and document dumps that have happened around noon-6'ish on a Friday. Always the prelude of yet another scandal coming up.

I guess Brian Ross has got the entire beltway doin' the boogie cause they don't know what he'll say or not tonight. Methinks, the good "madame" is a shrewd businesswoman. She's gonna milk this 15 minutes by dripping names...first as a shot over the bow to get the DOJ off her tail and then to scare former clients into either coming to her defense or shutting up (Michael Corleone would be proud...LOL) and then if that doesn't work, go for the gold...bring out bigger names and guns and sell the movie rights, do the book tour and the late night talk shows. Methinks the last option is where we're headed.

:hi:

Not sure if he'd be the point man. What makes you think he's the top? These are Republicans we're talking about after all.
