MY SON GOT AN "A" ON HIS CONSTITUTION TEST TODAY!
:woohoo:
I'm so proud of him! I remember how tough that test was when I was in 8th Grade and he ACED IT! He studied so hard. Last night my NIGHT OWL went to bed at 9:00, asked me to wake him up at 6:00 A.M. and then asked me to fix him a BIG BREAKFAST (he never eats breakfast) before school so he would be well prepared for the exam. When I took him to school this morning he let out a big sigh and said, "Well mom, wish me luck on my test!" He was SO NERVOUS about it and he ended up with an A! How awesome is that?:loveya:

3. Illinois?
Edited on Thu May-03-07 05:56 PM by eyesroll
I remember those tests well...I was in AP government, and our teacher insisted on administering the Constitution test the last day of classes. (For those of you not from Illinois, passing the Constitution Test is REQUIRED to pass 8th and 12th grades.) Nobody failed it.

Congrats. :toast:

I took my Constitutional Law exam on Monday...not the same thing by any stretch but it brought back memories.

That's why he was so nervous.:)

How did you do on your Constitutional Law exam? Do you know yet? I'm sure you aced it!:)

13. I won't know for awhile...objectively I did OK, but we're graded relative to one another, so who
knows...I probably didn't fail, and I probably won't win any awards for my performance, but in between...

5. Great to hear. But now he will be on a list "questionable" people..
because, you know, Neo-Cons don't like people who understand that they have certain birth given rights.

19. A Constitution Test in a public school?
After No Child Left Behind, I thought that was extinct.

Good vibes to your son.

At least they do in Illinois. I don't know about other states though.:)

21. MY son beat up a kid who got an "A" on his Constitution test today!
 :hi:

What?! I'm the first person who thought of this??

I see bumper stickers all the time that say "My kid beat up your honor roll student" ... of course I do live in the middle of freeperville. Lots of knuckle draggers around here.

Anyways, congratulations to your son! I remember being nervous before tests too, but it seemed like the more I studied, the more I forgot. I always did better by just paying attention in class and listening, then using memory recall during the tests.

:hi:

25. I took it in Arizona in 1976 while in the 8th grade as well
I think I did well on it (I don't remember) but I also remember that it was something like 25 pages long.
Wooohooo for your son.
I'm proud of him too.:)
