How to Start Each Day with a Positive Outlook
1. Open a new file in your computer.
2. Name it "George W. Bush"
3. Send it to the trash.
4. Empty the trash.
5. Your PC will ask you, "Do you really want to get rid of "George W. Bush?"
6. Firmly Click "Yes."
7. Feel better.

Next week we'll do Dick Cheney

4. I gauran-freaking-tee you they Need!! to hear.
They've been listening to their professional political operatives WAY too long.

I've been asking them what they do with all of the mail and email and faxes and phone calls. They do a rough tally, BUT they have no way of extracting from all of that input what people are (more or less) saying, so they depend upon their consultants instead.

Thom Hartmann (Air America Radio) says the emails are dumped into big files and almost ignored, so phone calls are best.

Software engineers need to develop better text parsers to help our Congress critters out with all of the input.

Meanwhile, call Early and call often and ask the clerk to read his/her notes about your call back to you and then show up wherever your Representative or Senator happens to be and ask him/her if s/he received the information from your call.

I'm always very polite and sweet and concerned, but I DON'T pull any punches and it DOES feel good to say what needs to be said.
