Complex rules add to nominees' work

...The Bennet campaign revealed earlier this month that it would petition its way onto the August primary ballot in addition to working its way through the precinct caucus and state assembly process.

Bennet’s primary opponent, former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, said the move meant Bennet was shifting his attention away from the grass roots of the party.

“If you’re going to be able to hold this seat in the fall, you’ve got to be able to rally the troops,” he told The Hill.

Romanoff has topped Bennet in early precinct voting in the caucus process, but Bennet has maintained a slight lead among voters in the polls.....

This is starting to turn out to be a rout for Romanoff, because Bennet is looking for other ways to get into the ballot for August, because Bennet is starting to believe that he won't maintain the 30% delegate threshold to remain in the ballot.

Also to mention that Bennet is not a true Coloradan - he's a Ritter appointee, and a carpetbagger to boot. The Colorado Democratic Party (as I patiently remind Robb) wanted Romanoff to take Salazar's position, but Ritter picked Bennet instead.

Polls already show Romanoff leading Bennet by over 15%, and what's more, Romanoff beats any of the GOP Thugs that Colorado is looking in their bottom of the barrel.
