Pew Research: "What's Your Political News IQ?"
The average American only got 5 questions right on this btw. I expect our percentage to be MUCH higher of course. ;)

I got 11 out of 12 and no, I'm NOT going to tell you which one I missed. lol

What's Your Political News IQ?

To test your knowledge of prominent people and major events in the news, we invite you to take our short 12-question quiz. Then see how you did in comparison with 1,003 randomly sampled adults asked the same questions in a January 14-17, 2010 national survey conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

The Pew Research Center updates the News IQ quiz every few months by conducting a nationwide survey of Americans reached by both landline and cell phones. Each version of the quiz asks a wide range of questions about current events and issues as well as background facts and concepts that are relevant to the news. For an analysis of the findings from the most recent national News IQ survey, read the full summary of findings. (No peeking! If you are going to take the quiz, do it first before reading the analysis.)

The exact same quiz administered on the telephone survey is replicated here on the website. When you finish, you will be able to compare your News IQ with: the average American, as well as with the scores of men and women; with college graduates as well as those who didn't attend college; with people who are your age as well as with younger and older Americans. Are you more news-savvy than the average American? Here's your chance to find out.

2. Most DUers would do very well on that piece.
If the FR's could read all of the questions, they might get 8 or 9 right.

(12 for 12, with humility)

Even though those are really easy questions, it feels nice to have my knowledge evaluated, scored and ranked among my peers.

Thanks.

29. 11/12 The first question got me.
Though I did do some heavy thinking over the correct answer. Still, not bad.

Maybe I dwell too much into the politics because that seemed rather easy.

And these are the people preaching about Obama destroying the constitution and being a socialist.

on edit: If you look at the demographic breakdown the only question the 18-29 age group, which I am in, was: Who is Stephen Colbert.

36. What a rip off... I missed question 3, but it seems multiple answers were right...
No time was given for the period of debt. They didn't ask for a date. The question wasn't worded properly and is very vague...

but I don't care about the test ... I think it's cool...

It mentioned in the question #3 that data was released on Feb 16, 2010, but it didn't say how the information was distributed.

On Question 3 — "which foreign country holds the most U.S. government debt?" — both China and Japan are now accepted as correct answers on our interactive quiz. China had been the major holder of U.S. government securities for more than a year, and was the correct answer according to then-available Treasury data when the quiz was administered in a nationally representative survey. But data released by the U.S. Treasury on Feb. 16, 2010 reveal that China sold a large block of its U.S. holdings in December so that Japan again became the top foreign holder of U.S. Treasury securities.
