Poll question: Most repugnant TV "news" personality, non-Faux......
Since all of the Faux people are abhorrent, we'll leave them out of this one..... Glenn Beck is too easy a choice - he's an avowed brownshirt. I'll go with Wolf Blitzer, I find him much more insidiously irritating.

Beck is odious but I don't believe anyone affords him any credibility.

PS - Pat Buchanan is an unrepentant Nazi-sympathising dirtbag. He doesn't have as much juice as he did in the '80s and '90s but he's still vile.

3. It's so hard to choose...

It's like naming all the vowels. A E I O U and sometimes Y.

Here it's the list you have and sometimes Lou (Dobbs).

4. Y'know, I have to give Glenn Beck one thing...
he at least says upfront that he's a conservative and that his show is opinion. That, in my opinion, makes him less repugnant than people who claim to be objective reporters bit in reality are simply parroting GOP talking points.

5. Depends on what you mean by 'repugnant'...
Beck and Buchanan are in a class by themselves as neo-Nazis.

Tweety should know better but does not and is repulsive in his own right.

Tucker is pathetically dweeby but somehow quite disturbing. I believe that he is the only one whom I wish to hit thru the TV...and I'm not really sure why.

I could go on and on...

6. Wolf Blitzer is my choice......
when I listen to him he sometimes seems like a dim bulb. In other words he is just plain dumb.

19. At the TOP of the list, especially for sheer influence of the farming of issues in DC.
And 95% of the time, he is framing the issues AGAINST the Democrats.

12. she's almost unwatchable
Yesterday, after MSNBC broke from the Pelosi/Reid signing she declared the event 'staged', with heavy sarcasm on the word and loads of hostility dripping from her.

I still have to go with that durable standard bearer for CNN Bush-whoredom Candy Crowley.

13. You should've qualified it as Non-Faux/Not named "Glenn Beck"
He's such a beckerhead, I had to vote for him. Not only is he a jerk, he is the highest-profile right-wing extremist on the cable Teevee, outside of Fox News.

16. I voted for Norah O'Donnell...
She gets to keep passing herself off as an objective news reporter, but she asks the most slanted questions of anyone on cable right now. She goes after Dems no matter what and goes super easy on Reps no matter what. She seems like an idiot. You get nothing from an interview she conducts except for an urge to jam toothpicks into your ears.

Glenn Beck is an idiot too, but it is obvious you aren't getting news when you watch him. The rest of the people on your list are at least tolerable. Even Smerconish and Buchanan have some coherence to what they say and take a non-ideological stand every now and then. Wolf Blitzer has challenged some powerful people in the past and he helped debunk the Obama-Madrassdah smear. Katie Couric isn't really a news personality...more like a braindead outcast from The View. Tucker's show on MSNBC isn't that bad and he conducts decent interviews, like the one he just did with Ray McGovern. Chris Matthews is fun to watch if you understand he is full of shit, and of course he has David Shuster on his show a lot.

17. It occurs to me that you could judge them all on a smirk-o-meter
The vote would probably come out the same. It would probably be a tie between Glenn Beck and Norah O'Donnell, on second thought.
