Thinking about November and the gains we will see in the Congress
Do you recall how Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, won the Presidency in a predominantly Democratic Nation? He won because the Democratic vote was split between northern and southern contingents. Now, a centry and a half after that election we see the Republican Party split between its larger mostly rational element and its Teaparty wing. This split in their Party will be their downfall in the November election.

Republicans will tell you that the Teabaggers are not disgruntled Republicans, they will tell you instead that Teabaggers come from the ranks of "Independents". It is patently absurd to claim that the radical antics of the Teabaggers can be attributed to centrists who, in years past, could not make up their minds which Party to associate themselves with. These are Radical Right Republicans who are a cancer on their own Party, and we will gain from their presense in the fall.

1. I also think this is playing into the hands of the Democratic party
I'll be suspect of the electronic vote counting machines if it doesn't happen that we pick up seats in both houses. The pukies need to realize all it takes is one bad potato to spoil the whole sack of tators

+1.

2. I would like to see a gain in new faces, with the old ones voted out.
The incumbents have had ample opportunity to line their pockets, and if they have not done so yet - bad luck got 'em.

But this won't happen. We usually vote for "the name you know."

3. There was a time I personally knew many moderate Republicans.
They are now either independents, have drifted far right or they are dead. I think the moderate Republican is extinct.

4. I Can't Wait To Watch Sen. Easter Bunny Take the Oath of Office!
I'll surely have tears in my eyes during that historic event. I only hope the sky isn't raining too many unicorns that day, because my umbrella's not that sturdy.
