No one was hurt and there was only some property damage. As Smokey the Bear says, it only take one small match.

This incident is perhaps even worse. The target was a Virginia congressman. Some moron posted an address online. Turns out the address was that of the congressman's brother. Even if we protected every elected official, who would have been watching that guy? He may be the brother of a congressman, but at the core, he's just another citizen.

Law enforcement needs to crawl right up *ALL* these fuckwads' asses and bust them.

FBI Investigates Cut Gas Line at Home of Virginia Congressman's Brother

Federal and local law enforcement officials are investigating a severed gas line at the home of Virginia Rep. Tom Perriello's brother, just days after his address was posted online by Virgina Tea Party members.

A spokesman for the Albemarle County Fire Marshal confirmed Tuesday that the agency is working with the FBI to investigate a "suspicious incident" at Perriello's brother's home in Ivy, Charlottesville's Daily Progress reported.

An aide to Perriello told CNN a line to the propane tank on his brother's gas grill had been cut.

"It was enough that he could smell the gas," according to the aide.

On Monday two Tea Party members, angry over the Democrat's vote for the health care reform bill, posted the address of Perriello's brother online and encouraged other activists to "stop by," according to the Daily Progress. Apparently they intended to post the congressman's home address but published his brother's by mistake.

1. this is horrible
and I hope law enforcement tracks down and prosecutes the villains. (All of them) But does anyone else see the irony? Just like all the stupid misspellings in the tea party signs, they goof again. Still dangerous, still inhumane, still stoopid!!

2. The GOP just don't understand that their hate-filled rhetoric is
provoking this kind of response from their followers.

But I have hope....:sarcasm:

~snip~

House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio said in a statement that while many Americans are angry over passage of the health care bill, "violence and threats are unacceptable.

"That's not the American way," Boehner said. "We need to take that anger and channel it into positive change."

These folks wouldn't know positive if it came up and bit them on the ass.
