PROJECT: Collect online evidence of right-wing glee/approval of threats against Democrats.
FR links, right-wing blog posts, whatever, no matter how obscure...because that's the point: these 'Baggers are the "obscure," the deranged, the ridiculous ones driving this crap. It was some totally obscure douchebag in Alabama who is apparently, and proudly, responsible for all those broken windows. P.S. The blogger who posted the wrong guy's address and set up a bunch of kids to die in a fire when the gas line to their home got cut by a patriot hero coward...yeah, also "obscure."

So.

Help me rip the lid off. If you find a thread on a website where people are congratulating whoever is threatening violence, paste the link here, with text or a screenshot included if possible (before the content gets deleted).

I'd like an accounting of who approves of this. Wouldn't you?

Post it here. Let's see how deep this particular batshit-crazy rabbit hole goes.

1. The point about getting the screen shots cannot be stressed enough
GET GRABS and keep files. Share the screen shots. Get the evidence so well backed up that the bullies are unable to throw their shit down a memory hole when they get called on it.

Dear FBI: we mean to document this crap. Do stay in touch. If you need evidence, we will have plenty

Thanks Will. Important stuff and it takes a 'big name' to garner the attention this needs.

23. Assuming you're using a normal computer, hit the "PrintScreen" button...
and then open Paint or your favorite image editor, and Paste it in.

If you're using one of those weird computers from a corporate behemoth that doesn't play very many games, then I have no idea. :P

31. Ctrl-Alt-Print Screen
That will copy it to your clipboard - open a Word document (or whatever you use) and hit Ctrl-V to paste it in, then save the file. That always works better than Paint for me, but whatever's easier.

Command-Shift-3 captures the whole desktop.
Command-Shift-4 changes the cursor to a set of crosshairs. Click and drag to select the area of the screen you want to capture.
Command-Shift-4, then pressing the space bar changes the cursor to a camera. Use this if you want to get the contents of an application window (just move the camera cursor over an open app window, then click).

The procedures in the post above will create a file on your desktop called "Picture 1.png". These are numbered sequentially, so usually the highest number is the one you most recently captured.

I hope every single one of them is scared stiff.

I hope that when a squirrel runs across their roof... they wonder if it might be... someone who is pissed off and desperate.

I hope they worry about their spouses, their kids, their parents. I hope they start wondering about whether or not someone knows where they live, the route they take to school or work, where they shop for groceries.

I hope they know that Obama has all the SS protection HE and HIS family need (well, they think he does, anyway)... and their names and faces are out there with one heck of a lot less cover.

I hope they never get a decent night's sleep again- if they can sleep through the fact that they murdered the once-shining beacon of freedom, I hope they can't sleep for worrying about their own sorry, worthless hides.

Some people have LONG memories.

And when this monstrosity of a bill starts directly hurting citizens... when their elderly parent is suddenly denied the chance to live pain free for another few years, when their handicapped child is deemed "unqualified" for heart surgery, when they're told dialysis is "too expensive" once they're past 60...

They're going to remember who did it. And they're not going to have anything left to lose if they take action.

Actions have consequences- some of these scumbag politicos are about to learn that.

45. It's helpful to save the text, but a screenshot is better as proof
since it's harder (though not too hard) to fake a screenshot, but plain text is readily editable.

There are good responses near the top of the thread to post #17 about how to make a screenshot.

4. How to do a screen shot in Windows XP:
Hit the "Print Screen" key, may be "PrtSc" or something like that.

Open up Microsoft Paint. Start > Accessories > Paint

When the Paint program opens up, click into the white screen and Ctrl + v to paste the image (or right click and hit "paste").

Save file to your computer. Voila!

"Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death": Liberty Counsel Issues A Call to Revolution (Nonviolently, Of Course)

To say that the Right has completely and totally lost their collective minds over the passage of health care reform would be something of an understatement.

So far this week we've seen it compared to Pearl Harbor and 9/11 while right-wing activists have called those to voted for the legislation traitors who should be shot or killed by God.

And now comes the Liberty Counsel comparing March 23, 2010, the day President Obama signed the legislation into law, to March 23, 1775, the day Patrick Henry delivered his famous "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" speech calling the nation to revolution...

13. When you try to go to the Secret Service, FBI or any of those
websites to file a complaint. You have to have the incident, the time, what was said and all that stuff. I tried to file a complaint against Bachmann when she urged violence on the Democratic representatives and I couldn't find the evidence. It wasn't accepted. So you are right, then and there capture it. It would really be nice if you programed you DVD to record some of the messages on Fox since they took down all access to their information. They can't stop you from recording the info...the same with Rush and Dingbat, dumb bat Bachmann and Palin.

I don't like linking to RW blogs, but because they are driving up fear and inciting violence:

CNN, Huffington Post Urge Violence Against Republicansby

Two of the most popular liberal news sites are calling for violence against Republicans for obstructing the radical agenda of President Barack Obama.

CNN and Huffington Post have each published op-eds this past week by regular contributors with headlines that explicitly call for Obama to use violent gangland tactics against his political opponents.

CNN published a column by Roland Martin on February 11 with the headline, Time for Obama to go ‘gangsta’ on GOP.

Martin concluded the article with a plea for Obama to emulate the violent tactics of the Prohibition-era Chicago mob boss Al Capone.

The Freepers have taken this article from that blog one step further:

57. From Tea Party Nation: (real patriots) better start forming your militia
Comment by Joseph Azzato 1 day ago your voices are silanced from any thing done or to the rest of the people that still sit on there couches with no clue of whats going on order they can control patriots they can't (real patriots) better start forming your militia and be ready to fight on more then just paper but arms as well, to be honast I doubt many of you have put all the peices together or what sinister plans are in store for you

do you really believe they will be voted out when they show your vote's mean nothing to them or your voice no they just act like the people wanted it and call it a triumph for them
the sooner you realize are system is not are system the better off we all will be

and if you willing give up your arms because you did not want to fight for your rights this way, is the day are country will be lost for-good and soon after that you will be wishing you did not you will be wishing you at least tried and you will even start to think if I at least went out with a bang

(90%)
until you are ready to not be controld and realize are arms where meant to protect us from corrupt government you will never be a real patriot until you can get past the point of laws that are illegal law's and start choosing to do it as a real patriot you will not know what it feels like to be a patriot Give me freedom or give me death (life is not worth living as a slave)
are constitution is an idea in the hearts of every real patriot when we forget that it can't be taken away by paper is the day it will be

when ideas and idealogy are forced to or imposed on people you no longer have freedom you have a dictatorship and this has been the case for a long time taken peice by peice now you are starting to realize it securaty is that of the people there constitution there lives are country not a governments agenda this country has turned into a lie making you only think you are free or have a choice but you don't try being honest with your selves already

58. Kick! Might be a deterrent. Even so, it's VERY smart to document this stuff.
Somebody may need to make an ID some day sooner than later, and you may have just the footage that makes them easier to recognize. Self-defense, and a policy of pre-emption. They oughta love it! After all, their precious george was all over that like a ants on a honey jar.

http://www.newshounds.us/2008/12/26/hate_mail_theyre_ou...

"I have spoken with many, many people like myself and it is coming, I do not like nor condone violence, but this could make the 1860's civil war look like a rock throwing incident."

"Look around we are watching and listening more than you would ever believe. Groups like the Secular Progressives and the ACLU to name a couple are our arch enemies and will be dealt with."

65. Here's a few more gems from freeper land.....
regarding Democratic Repersentative Jim Moran and the Tea-baggers that were protesting him today:

<snip>
To: GeronL
Jim likes to drink. He likes women. He likes to bully people. He takes campaign funds from people with AlQaida associations.
Someday he's going to run into somebody who will simply kill him ~ and probably for no reason at all.

He’s a real tough guy with the Capitol Police around but if he stepped outside like a real man with no police around and no threat of arrest hanging over the head of the protesters, we would see just how tough he really is. That’s why these weasals can do what they do because they have that ever present security but if they were to settle it in the gentlemanly fashion of years gone by they wouldn’t be nearly so “tough.” A lot of them will be “retired” soon and without taxpayer paid security they might need to pay for their own bodyguards.

Next time he’s in the restaurant say under your breath but loud enough for him to hear “There’s a faggot if I’ve ever seen one”. That’s what I said for Bill Maher to hear. The little short but big nosed avocado eatin’ weasle. Of course, feel free to write your own lanquage.

Information given to the FBI or Secret Service is very unlikely to be given a response, but it will be looked at.
