Domestic Enemies
Every member of the military and every federal law enforcement officer took an oath that reads in part “… to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all ENEMIES, foreign and DOMESTIC.” Why aren’t they doing so?

Our Constitution has been under daily assault for six and a half years now. It’s been viciously attacked by one of the most dangerous enemies imaginable – a criminal presidential administration and their (mostly Republican) enablers in the congress and the judiciary. Thousands in our military and countless numbers of civilians have died, or had their lives destroyed, due to an illegal war and the almost total destruction of the American “social safety net.” And the Constitution itself, along with all our inalienable rights, are well on the way to being obsolete.

So why aren’t those who took this oath carrying out their responsibility to protect and defend the Constitution? Who’s to be the first to step forward? Which federal officer will decide that his or her oath meant what it said?

I know this is taking things to a literal extreme. However, wasn’t it because of the possibility of times like these that the reference to domestic enemies was written into the Constitution? But what the hell, they’re just words. We can’t really expect anyone to take them literally. Can we?
