Retired U.S. General claims Bosnian massacre caused by gays in the Dutch military
Uh-huh. So this is the kind of BS we are up against in this nation - looney tune ex-generals whose grip on reality is so tenuous that it makes me wonder why the hell the U.S. military doesn't have more frequent mental health evaluations before forcing the taxpayers to provide these wingnut clowns with lifelong paychecks and benefits.

Fortunately, Senator Levin nailed ex-General Dipstick good: (from Towleroad, with link after the quotes):

"At today's hearings regarding "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", Retired General John Sheehan argued that the allowance of gay soldiers in the Dutch military was responsible for the genocide in Srebrenica in 1995.

SHEEHAN: The case in point that I’m referring to was when the Dutch were required to defend Sbrenecia against the Serbs, the battalion was understrength, poorly led. And the Serbs came into town, handcuffed the soldiers to the telephone polls, marched the Muslims off and executed them. That was the largest massacre in Europe since World War II.

LEVIN: And did the Dutch leaders tell you it was because there were gay soldiers there?

SHEEHAN: It was a combination –

LEVIN: Did they tell you that?

SHEEHAN: Yes.

LEVIN: That’s my question.

SHEEHAN: They included that as part of the problem.

LEVIN: That there were gay soldiers among the Dutch force.

SHEEHAN: The combination was the liberalization of the military, the net effect of basically social engineering.

His remarks were rebuked by Senator Carl Levin."

with video at the link. . .

Sheehan is a real piece of "social engineering" himself.

1. I saw that on TRMS
Rachel didn't say he was one of the God Warrior Jesus-Generals, but that was my suspicion.

2. well he was right on one point the dutch were totally ineffectual and stood back and watched the
massacre occur, they were badly lead, badly motivated, badly equipped, and lacked the ability to protect the people they were there to protect, now its nothing to do with the gays in the military but more to do with the complete breakdown into a more friendly military for wont of a better phrase that led up to this... They were not soldiers but more like tourists...

5. One of the main problems was the UN mandate itself.
The troops were literally left powerless to intercede; it was not that they were a "more friendly military;" it was that they literally had to please all sides and take none.
Absolutely N O T H I N G to do with gays in the military!

What a total idiot this "General" is!

6. yup i agree the general in that context is wrong, but no the dutch unit was manhandled
and was just not able to react in any way or manner that was needed, i love the please all sides and take none, you do realise that they were disarmed and watched as the civilians were led of to be massacred, they were not soldiers they were tourists and should never have been there in the first place..

it was that they literally had to please all sides and take none

Why does this policy sound so familiar.. it's on the tip of my tongue. I'm sure it will come to me.

It was a combination of us gays, UFOs, and Illuminati mind control experiments.
Get it right, General. Get it right.
