What's going on here?

"A political slide shows that landed President Bush adviser Karl Rove in an investigation focuses on a Texan who replaced former U-S House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

The Associated Press reports Democratic Congressman Nick Lampson tops the list of the "2008 House Targets: Top 20."

A-P reports it's part of a presentation made to executive branch employees.

Critics have alleged the presentation was political and violated laws restricting executive branch employees from using their jobs for political activity."

Why is Rove having meetings over an election his administration will have no part in? I mean, Bush isn't running in 08, right?

3. What those graphs show me is this...
We need to start working for and donating to Rove's target list and get good quality opponents to run against those on top of his defense list. This shows their weaknesses and we should pounce on it by strengthening our own incumbents on that list and going after theirs.

Yes we should work for everybody but we should try to get more money to these candidates because it's obvious those are the local elections in which the RNC, RCCC and RSCC will be funneling their funds into.

4. Rove's goal: Undo Dem's 2006 gains.
17 of the 20 on KKKarl's hit list are seats that flipped Red to Blue last fall. IMO, he's trying to flip them back and claim 2006 was a fluke. The 3 seats that didn't flip last fall are GA-8, GA-12, and SD-AL. The 2 GA seats are in danger from redistricting IIRC. I don't know what the story is with SD; that's held by a multi-term Dem.

KKKarl wants a permanent Repug majority. Investigations won't stop when * leaves office, and KKKarl wouldn't last very long in prison.
