VIDEO:Stephanie Miller Takes Her Turn On MSNBC
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 04:07 PM by cal04
Today through Wednesday, progressive talk show host Stephanie Miller gets her chance to shine in Imus's old slot on MSNBC. If this morning's show was any indication, she could easily impact their ratings in the same way Keith Olberman has.

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/04/30/stephanie-miller-takes-her-turn-on-msnbc/

Former CIA officer Larry Johnson was Stephanie's guest this morning to give his reaction to George Tenet's appearance last night on 60 Minutes. Larry and a group of former intelligence officers have written a letter to Tenet demanding that he donate a portion of the proceeds from his new book to the families of soldiers who have died in Iraq and to give back the Medal of Freedom he was given by George Bush.

Watch the clip and if you like what you see, send a note to General Manager Dan Abrams and VP Bill Wolff at MSNBC. Let them know that you'd like to see Stephanie Miller on MSNBC in the mornings instead of another Fox wannabe like this guy. Remember, be polite. Personally, I would tune in five days a week….

34. As much as I love to see her on the tv....
Can't wait until Steph is back on the radio only - love her and the mooks, but you can tell they are self-censoring. I want to hear more of their take on Tenet - without worriying about commercial breaks or pissing off the oversensitive general public

10. Stephanie would be a perfect fit.....
I'd be in hog heaven with Momma on in the a.m., and Keith on at night. It can't hurt that Momma's a looker either.

Does anyone know how many more people are gonna be auditioned for this spot?

14. K & R. Go Steph. I do have a concern. I love her radio show but I
don't believe that MSNBC would let her be so "out-there" on TV. I think she would have to clean-up so to speak, her show for TV. I would hate that even tho i would love to see her on MSNBC. I am torn.

18. Yes but what network wants someone that calls bullshit on BS.
MSNBC has Olbermann and I think that's their limit. Maybe comedy central. CNN has gone to the dark side. And never, never the so called major networks.

25. You mean like MSNBC? They dropped Donahue like a hot potato.
It's not ratings. Otherwise why doesn't one of the big networks pickup the Daily Show or Bill Mahr or the Colbert Report?

30. Not that they would sign her but
that was then this is now. Donahue was dropped like a hot potato cause he was one..the corporatemediawhores wanted to deliver the War On Iraq to the bushits. We've seen how that went.

Rolling Stone Mag said KO found his niche at msnbc when he went off on rummy and the viewers lapped it up and it's only been getting stronger.

I think they want the ratings..there's no bloody misbegotten war to beat the drums for now and getting out of 3rd place appeals to them.

I don't think Stewart and TDS want anything to do with the big networks because they can be who they are now without censorship.

35. I do hope you are right, but I think you see the glass as 3/4 full and I see it 3/4 empty.
I can not see any MSM as giving in to shows from the left. Olbermann is the exception

CNN had her come in for a pilot. Guess it didn't work out so I'm hoping MSNBC will pick her up and show them.

24. E-mail MSNBC...Crooks & Liars has email links.
I think there is more of chance to effect an outcome with Stephanie than with what happened to Sam Seder and AAR.
I think Sam was a done deal for a variety of reasons, but this may not be decided yet.

Come on DU!

32. Nothing would make me happier than having Steph on MSNBC every morning!
I would seriously get up to watch it or record Mama just to see her....

I was so excited this morning to see her and the gang....They were great, although I will say that I think they are a bit nervous and are not being completely themselves....this is too bad because I think that if they had more than just 3 days, they would eventually relax more and flow as they usually do...

But I'm definitely writing to MSNBC and letting them know how great having Steph on would be!
