2. I humbly bow to you!
Seriously, I love your work... and I wanted to figure out how to do it. I was down with a blown out knee a couple weeks ago, so I spent my spare time playing with my paint shop pro and animation shop. I've just taught myself by trial and error with this stuff. Something to pass a little time now and then.

How about good ol' pootie poot?

:hi:

5. experience *is* the best teacher, isn't it?
It gives me something to occupy my mind with, and to learn something new and useful in the process. I usually just open up a picture I have on my computer and play around with it, trying the different tools, features, etc., just to see what they do. Sometimes I even remember what I did after I've done it!

Trial and error with freeware. My breakthrough came when I graduated to Photoshop Elements. :D

edit: I hope the knee is better. I have a knee problem now too. x(

6. My first experience with any of this was because a friend wanted me to
make her one of those "glitter siggies". I read a couple tutorials online about them to see how it was done and thats where I learned about Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop. I acquired both programs, then printed out 3 different tuts and went to work.

From there I started doing a few banners, just playing around with the programs when I was bored. Then I found DU... I started seeing all these cool pictures that had been photoshopped and I started wanting to know how it was done. Then came Swamprat.... I'm thinking "how the hell does he change the skin colors like that? How does he do it??" Of course, I couldn't just come right out and ask. The "green guys" are your gig, and I'll leave it to you... I just had to prove to myself that I could do it, or come close. Now, your backgrounds you make? I won't try that, but they are awesome too. Some are very subtle, you have to look into them and you see faces, skulls, etc. Very cool!

PEACE!.... and thanks for making my brain keep working!
