I did A28 in Minneapolis today. Outside of the woodticks (I plucked five off my legs, still need to do the indepth search ... I'll spare you the details) it was genius. I met some wonderful people. Yay for that!

One *Big Surprise* ~Not~ The mainstream corporate newspaper for which I work neglected to cover the event, though all journalists still there (in the P.M. as they usually work days) and most editors wanted to ... even offered to do it on their lunchbreak ... the Minneapolis Star Tribune was a no-show (to my present knowledge). In fact, while I was there (helping to lay out sheets), seven editors phoned my cell to inquire if we were still 'doing it' and hell, far as I know maybe they (paper peeps) covertly stood on the Washington Avenue bridge and got a gander for to share (again, covertly). Each and every one of them phoned me at my desk when I returned to work to ask how it went. I was honest (as I'm wont to be) and reported (pun intended) that we needed more people ... at last count nearly or better than 200 peeps signed up, if I'm not mistaken the total who actually showed was 77. So we improvised (we liberals are so flippin' johnny-on-the-spot creative) and with some Photoshoppery (concerning the I M P E A C H flashlight-lit letters) well, once all the photos are made available ... see for yourself (again via impeachforpeach.org) photos will be posted asap.

Today was a good day.

I'm gonna go mop the kitchen floor, wash some bath towels and then ... have a glass of a nice Syrah from Napa.
