8. Yeah, pretty much
Its not ocean front--a couple minute's walk. Up on a beach bluff with an amazing view too. Probably outside Tsunami zone :(

Its a little beach cottage thats been for sale for a long time (we were asking too much). If I waited for it so sell, our Canadian Perm Resident visa would of expired. We are renting it out now super cheap to a retired couple.

10. No big inundation predicted for the Pacific NW

An advisory is the lowest level alert. The West Coast Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said a tsunami advisory means there is a possibility of strong localized currents but no significant inundation is expected.

Barry Hersh Horn of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said waves up to 4.8 metres in height could hit the town of Hilo on Hawaii's Big Island. Boats and people near the coast are being told to get to higher ground and evacuation orders are in place. Hilo International Airport is closed.

Emergency officials in B.C. have warned people to stay out of the water and away from beaches, harbours and marinas. They said the first wave was expected to arrive shortly after 3 p.m. local time.
