Do you have a Democratic Senator who hasn't signed the letter for a public option?
Then please phone or email the Senator's office to ask him or her to sign the letter.

13. I'm very pleased with him too
In my house we split the primary vote between Merkley and Novick. Merkley is turning out to be better on the issues than Wyden. :)

27. Yep -- he's a true progressive.
I liked Novick, too, but voted for Merkley in the primary because I thought he'd have a better chance against Smith in the general election.

4. It was up to 18 by end of day yesterday
I called Levin's office and was told he'd be reviewing it today. He definitely supports the public option.

I read in the Michigan forum that someone called Stabenow's office and was told she'd be signing it.

30. The woman in Specter's office, yes.
The automatic answering machine in Casey's office which offered no option to speak to a live human being, no.
I can only assume that my brilliant arguments wouldn't make any difference anyway. If they move on this, it will be because of sheer numbers of people telling them to do so.

26. I know, but he still needs to address my e-mails, he still needs to say NO
out loud so no one forgets that he is a tool for the health insurance industry.

Same for Dodd, he hasn't answered me either, and he isn't even going to run again.

I am stunned that Feinstein did. She must have some way of profiting off of a public option

25. Happy to say both of mine are in, with one leading the charge.
But that Dem senators have to be coaxed to sign on is really irritating. They should be knocking down the door to sign.

Republicans are scum, but they're scum who stick together -- that's one thing Democrats in the Senate can't seem to grasp. The other is, who gives a shite what Republicans might say about them because of the way they vote? They're going to talk nonsense anyway!
