Having no TV has changed DU for me
I heard about a small plane crash (into an IRS building) on NPR this morning. The news clip was about 20 seconds.

When I logged on to DU - I saw tons of threads on this incident.

I am sure that the TV is all non-stop with this tragedy. If I didn't log on to DU, I would have heard a 20 second NPR clip and I would have read an article in my local paper tomorrow about it..

4. We were at the doctor's office and everyone was watching
Fox Confusion. Well, it may have been an international plot, or a pissed off father, or somebody sinister, or somebody who burnt his house down, or a stray plane, or Santa Claus taking a left at Albuquerque. Yikes, Yikes, Yikes. And the fire truck were around the corner from the building, whose name we didn't get, with the IRS office in it. OMG, it was a slobberknock of a ?cast.

7. Eh, not watching TV changes just about all your social relations..
You end up not having much you can talk about with a great many people, particularly so if you're not a sports fan..

But then sports fans who don't watch TV are pretty thin on the ground these days.

9. Man, is that ever true.
I've been working at the same place for years and finally have gotten it through my co-workers heads that, "No, I didn't see that whatever you're so excited about. I don't watch T.V.!"

8. Funny, I've been watching tv for hours this afternoon and haven't heard a thing about it.
It depends on what you watch and that is your choice. I did hear about it listening to NPR. Maybe I should give up radio?
