I'm sitting here on my hands trying sooooooo hard to not respond to a dumbass, rightwing, bullshit e-mail sent to my husband from his co-worker. It has a photo of Obama with his feet on the oval office desk and the text talks about how arrogant he is, blah, blah, blah.

It took me two whole fucking minutes to find images of Bush and Ford with their feet on the same friggin' desk and I want sooooooo bad to send them back to him with no text BUT this is my husband's coworker and it's my husband's place of work, not mine, and I have no wish to sow seeds of tension for him. He purposefully stays away from political talk at work. But on the other hand this idiot send this shit to MY house.

Send the pics with a directive that turnabout is fair play and if they can dish it out, they better be prepared to take it.

I did that to a freeper boss of mine the first week I worked for him. Everyday when I would get to work, there would be some kind of right-wing crap waiting for me. :puke:

...you are perfectly within normal etiquette to reply. Granted you still need to consider that it's from your husband's coworker...

I think your response would be ideal: just the pictures you dug up, in response to the email he sent, without comment. Also, if it was me, I'd be sure and "Reply All".

You might also want to put in a sentence asking the coworker to take you off their list for political emails as you prefer not to participate. But I'd include the snapshots anyway.
