I had a dream.... (be careful what you wish for)
I dreamed that Obama heard Tx Gov. Perry's talking about secession and the cheers of Texans when Palin mentioned it.

I dreamed that the following day, he gave them their wish. He then gave a speech that included these points:

"In accordance with your intentions, we will not allow Texas to secede, however, we have, as of now, expelled Texas from the Union. We are pulling NASA and every other federal program out of Texas and will no longer do business with companies from Texas. The Federal Interstate System will now become toll roads or, if you don't like it, we will simply remove them in one form or another.

"All Social Security and Medicare payments in Texas will now halt.

"We will allow refugees from Texas unfettered relocation into the United States with full privileges of Citizenship for the next 120 days.

"The Government of The United States will pull all Federal Law enforcement, DEA and ICE personnel from the territory as well as the National Guard. All U.S. Postal Service will also halt.

"In essence, we are returning you to Mexico. We hope you will enjoy becoming their newest state."

A guy can dream, can't he?

3. Thanks, and to carry is a step further in the news reports:
Scene from the TX LA border after President Obama's announcement.

AP: Roads from TX to LA jammed with fleeing refugees.

Hispanic influences already being seen in Houston.

George W. Bush reacts with "I can be a President again!"

Mexico be South Texas?

12. Frankly, I advocate this all the time.
South Carolina wants to secede? Fine. Do it. See how far it gets you. Texas thinks it can manage on its own? Go knock yourself out, boys. But don't come crying to mama when the sun goes down.

14. Can we keep Austin, though?
Not only does my sister live there, it's a great progressive city.
