3. No African Americans In The White House
Edited on Thu Feb-04-10 01:26 PM by Yavin4
As far as I can tell. These people never said a word for 8 years when the budget went from surplus to deficit.

Good luck getting the lazy-ass, pandering-to-the-White-male-demo media to ever challenge these folks on their lies and racism.

8. No incumbents....
no liberals
no new taxes
no regulations
smaller government (elect me to the government you don't want governing you)
no health care reform
no financial reform
no legal abortions
no affirmative action
destroy government employee, police, firefighter and teacher unions and do away with their pensions then privatize them
toss out all illegal immigrants

They dream of a revolution where they imagine they will be unscathed with their stockpiles of guns and canned foods.

At least that's what I gather from reading sites like Mish's or FreeRepuklik. I may be mixing up libertarians with teabagging ignoramuses.

At any rate they are infected with stupid and are a danger to us all.

11. New Jersey Teabagger mission statement
Mission Statement:
The New Jersey Tea Party Coalition exists to protect our liberties by restoring and
defending the principles within our Nation’s foundational documents, and by
promoting unity with other Patriots throughout New Jersey and the United States.
Core Principles:
We the New Jersey Tea Party Coalition, an association of public citizens from
the State of New Jersey, are dedicated to supporting the principles within our Nation’s
foundational documents and public policy that adheres to those principles, including
but not limited to the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that are
expressed in the forms of personal responsibility, individual liberty, limited
government and free markets. Insofar as all Americans must live within their financial
means, so must our government and we further believe that those means must not
exceed the bounds enumerated within our Constitution. Furthermore, through our
outreach and rallies, it is our objective to empower our fellow citizens by showing
them they are not alone in their frustrations about the bad policies coming from
Washington and Trenton. Our goal is to unite Patriots throughout New Jersey in order
to speak with a single and powerful voice that will enable us to preserve and restore
our Constitutional government which was designed of and for the People. We the
people of New Jersey and these United States call for Real, Honest and Ethical
government in order to protect and preserve the liberties and prosperity of our
children, our families, our community and our country

15. Doesn't our Constitution say America can not keep a standing Army?
They want all resources to go to "Defense" even though maintaining a Standing Military is specifically mentioned and forbidden in the constitution.

24. Section 8
Congress has the power to raise an army but no money can be spent for more than a two year period for that purpose. Congress has the power though to arm and train the Militia.

There is nothing there about not having a standing army.

5. Partially
Edited on Thu Feb-04-10 01:39 PM by howaboutme
They should of had a fourth answer "partially", so maybe "don't know" might work for me.

Americans are frustrated with a government that pays them no mind while doing exactly what the high powered, high paid lobbyists want. Wall street wants billions to invest and make profits after tanking the economy....and the Congress says "how much" to the banking lobbyists.

It is the feeling that the public is being constantly dissed and dismissed that is at the root of the tea party movement. I don't see it as pure conservatism.

The Republican Party is trying to hijack and control that movement and while the Democratic Party is trying to discredit it, which I see as a huge mistake. The movement has many factions and at its heart is populism.

If there are any Tea Party Rallies near me I'm going and I'm going to carry my own anti-Corporate, anti free trade sign. I'm using the movement and I see that as a better course than discrediting it. The important aspect is that the public is getting involved again (like the 60s and 70s) and that scares the hell out of politicians.

10. Really?
You were looking for a 'partially' option. I was looking the the 'f&#! no' option.

The Tea Partiers are not against corporations. The only lobbyists they dislike are those hired by unions.

26. Thanks
The movement of activism is what needs utilized. Go to a rally and get in the face of media with your own sign and it can say whatever you believe to be said. Say "Bush destroyed the USA. Say "War is Hell except for those who profit". The movement is open ended, and the media is portraying it as something different. Fuck the media they don't work in your interests.

To waste the movement by attempting to discredit it is absurd. The movement is populism. It is about what the USA was founded upon and it is about the people against the corporate rich and Wall St elitists.

Americans want our country back. We want special interests that are not in the interests of the public to be expelled.

22. Hmm...Do I like lasszie fare economics? No. Am, I intrested in joining the Klan? Nope and ineligible
How about "covertly" doing the bidding of big insurance?

Anti-civil rights? Nope.

All about deregulation? Of course not.

Xenophobic? Not my style.

Hate liberalism? Not by a long shot.

Worship economic royalty? LOL

Want to keep the government out of my Medicare and Social Security? C'on Maiiiin.

Do I get all aflutter when Phailin shares her daily gibberish on twitter? ROFLMAO

I guess I can't fit on the ole Teabagger Express. I was already seeing the undercarriage on that mofo before they got the money from big insurance to build it.
Just because some folks SHOULD be on the same side doesn't mean there is much hope for it. Personally, I hold them in even lower esteem than the corporate communist they idolize and support because those assholes are at least getting some WIN out of the deal. The mouthbreathing racist morons don't even get a lousy tee-shirt unless they pony up $18.95 for it or misspell their own message with a sharpie on their pit stained Sunday best.
